Construction management Capstone Project: The REPORT should be of publishable quality and include the following: Title Page: Include name, title of project, Faculty Advisor¹s name, and project¹s time frame. Abstract: Provide an overview of the paper. The abstract should not exceed 500 words. Introduction: A brief overview of the paper including a summary of the background leading to the research question or purpose of the paper. Purpose Statement or Research Question(s): If more than one purpose or question is applicable, limit the description to one brief paragraph each. Literature Review: Identify and review literature and previous research applicable to the paper topic. This section should include a synthesis and discussion of the reviewed literature to identify strengths, weaknesses, trends, opportunities, etc. The review should provide the basis for the paper. Methods: Describe the methodology utilized in the development of the paper. This might include the design, setting, participants, intervention, and main outcome measures of the Capstone Project, or it might provide details regarding sampling, measurement, data collection, and analysis of research. Results: Present the results of the Capstone Project. Explain the product of the effort put forth. Discussion: Discuss, in detail, the results. Place the results in the context of the existing base of knowledge on the topic, and discuss limitations. Conclusion: Provide discrete conclusions supported by evidence. Express any further study or effort implied by the conclusions, and give equal attention to positive and negative conclusions. References: Properly and consistently cite references in a reputable format of the student’s choice. APA format is recommended. Appendices: Support materials may include survey/interview instruments, letters of support, data analysis coding sheets, or others.

INTRODUCTION
My research throughout the semester will focus on the various technologies developed and used within the construction industry and how they continuously improve organizations within the industry. Technologies such as BIM technology, drones, and estimating software (among others) have enabled construction companies to thrive during uncertain times. It is with this advanced technology that the industry will continue to improve and expand on both a national and international level.

How have both new and proven technological advancements benefitted the construction industry domestically and globally?
What are some of the specific technologies implemented by organizations to improve day-to-day functions?
What technologies have been and continue to be implemented that emphasize and strive for environmental sustainability?
What technologies have impacted construction safety in the past and what measures still need to be taken to improve?
LITERATURE REVIEW
Various scholarly articles will be referenced that provide practical examples that stress the importance of the technological advancements within the construction industry. These will include published scholarly articles as well as news outlets.
CONSTRUCION TECHNOLOGY AND SAFETY IN CONSTRUCTION
It is no secret that the construction industry has been and will continue to be one of, if not the most, dangerous industries in the world. There are many injuries globally each year as well as many fatalities.
DRONES
The implementation of drones may impact the construction industry in a variety of different ways. For one, being able to spot potential hazards from the ground while flying a drone is a major advantage that could potentially save lives.
WEARABLES
Construction workers that have the ability to implement wearables can drastically improve their chances of surviving or minimizing harm when in danger.
VIRTUAL REALITY
The main advantage of virtual reality in construction, especially as it pertains to safety in construction, is the ability for construction workers to go though training and other effective resources without ever having to step foot on construction sites.
SITE SENSORS
Site sensors will minimize the risk of exposure for construction workers on jobsites. This has been a serious issue for centuries, but has only recently been brought to the forefront. Now there are fewer chances for missing harmful chemicals and agents that may lead to lasting effects and impacts later in life for construction workers.
PROPOSED METHODOLOGY
Research will be conducted using scholarly articles and other resources that will support arguments for the importance of technology in construction. There are many sources that will serve to emphasize an argument that will be made throughout the research.
EXPECTED BENEFITS
The expected benefits will include gaining a better understanding of how technology can be implemented and utilized to increase efficiency and productivity of construction organizations. These technologies can be applied in many ways including estimating, scheduling, project management, and safety measures. Construction has come a long way in recent years and can continue to improve.
RECOMMENDATIONS
The findings from this study can be used moving forward to determine how to best implement different forms of technology. When issues arise, the hope is that advanced construction technology can improve all aspects of the processes.
