For examples of specific issues refer to the course syllabus or lesson 1 of week 1, e.g., how cultural diversity is debated in the media, on race, racism, gender, ethnicity, religion, etc.
Choose a media article or a discussion thread and:
1. Summarize the main point(s) (arguments, ideas, narratives, discourses, analysis, etc.) of your chosen article or discussion thread (expected length: one paragraph)
2.Critically comment (in short your thoughts on your chosen article or discussion thread) addressing such issues as (but not limited to) how informative or misleading the article or discuss thread is, how well researched it is, what is missing, whether or not it gave you any new insight on the subject/issue/topic, whether or not it supports a certain ideological/political position such as liberal, conservative, libertarian, independent, etc. (Expected length: one paragraph)
