Hi，My name is Jessie, original from mainland China. I am currently studying at a girls boarding school in Canada, I am a lively and cheerful girl with versatile hobbies, including, Singing, dancing, the game of go, the Pipa, painting, basketball, swimming and so on. I played the Chinese music instrument, Pipa, for over ten years since grade 1 and obtained many rewards. I am very fond of organizing and participating in various school and extracellular activities. For example, in grade 9, I organized my classmates to play the Alice in Wonderland stage play. I also managed the campus band and acted as the lead singer to win the first prize in Tianjin Heping District High school Competition in grade 10. I’m always ready to help others and often participate in volunteer activities, including charity sales, sorting out our school’s library books. In addition, I participated in the Model United Nations Competitions four times. 

(2) Tell us about something you’re passionate about,
I enjoy participating in MUN (Model United Nations) activities very much. In MUN, I join in global hot spots and issues left over from history. In addition, I spoke and debated on behalf of different countries. In the process of participating in Model United Nations, I learned a lot about international politics, culture and economy, learned about the history of many countries, and improved my critical thinking ability. In addition, I improved my speaking ability through model United Nations and thought about problems from multiple perspectives. At the same time, my leadership, academic, and teamwork ability have improved my work as an educational team DM (dias member).

(3) Describe what unique perspectives or experiences you will bring to Rotman.
First of all, because I am very keen on model United Nations activities, I am very interested in international hot issues, so I have a good understanding of the global situation. I can also think about problems from multiple perspectives, analyze topics from history to development trajectory, and look into the future. Furthermore, because I have participated in and organized many activities during high school, I have strong leadership, organizational, and teamwork skills. These are very favourable for Rodman Business School, which needs multi-angle thinking and strong leadership. At the same time, as an international student, I am well aware of cultural differences. Therefore, I can analyze and solve problems from different cultural perspectives and national conditions. This is one of my advantages as an international student
