My argument is Why texting while driving is dangerous. Your final essay is to create a six-paragraph argumentative essay using the topic that you chose for your research: introduction, three body paragraphs for key points, a counter-argument paragraph, and a conclusion. You will need to include 3-5 sources, which can be from websites, the library, and/ or google scholar, provided they are no more than SEVEN years old. Remember what we’ve discussed about credible sources: do not use wikipedia, free essays, or other similar sites.
You should have at least three quotes and three paraphrases (no more than five each) with no more than one blocked quote. Remember, your research is meant to support your argument, not speak for you, and also keep in mind that academic arguments focus on the topic, not your personal feelings about it! Therefore, your position should take the approach of one position is, scholars believe, etc., not I think, I feel, etc. Make sure your paper has an MLA heading and a properly formatted Works Cited page.
