Assignment: Review Cycles
What is the feedback schedule for your committee? Do you understand the roles of the three committee members in the process of developing your dissertation? In this activity you are being asked to review the Dissertation Guidebook, which is a Learning Resource this week and available at the Walden University Quality Research Center website, to find the roles of the committee members and the timeframes for feedback throughout the process. This will help you in planning and setting appropriate expectations.
Activity Instructions
Briefly describe the roles for the following formal reviews (one or two paragraphs each) and include the review cycles (number of days):
Committee chair
Second committee member
University representative reviewer (URR)
Form and style editor
Institutional Review Board (IRB)
Based on the information you find, create a reference sheet that summarizes each role, including the pertinent information.
