1-You will ulpoad your 1st paper on Blackboard, where it says PAPERS. The papers are 2 pages long, double space, or the equivalent, that means around 800 words INCLUDING the title.
2-The papers MUST be about Latin American, Spanish, or Portuguese music, including Latino music from the US, of course. Papers about other types of music won’t be accepted.
3-You can write about LIVE concerts you attended or a video or videos I provided, or from the lessons, or about videos or videos you like as long as they are Latin American, Spanish or Portuguese music.
4-Of course, you can also write a paper about gender in popular music, that’s not a type of music but it is one of our units.
5-At the top of the page you must put your name and the name of the artist or artists you are writing about.
6-Then you put the link or links to the video or videos you are using. Papers without the links or without the venue and date of the live concert, won’t be accepted.
7-If you are writing about a LIVE concert you attended, instead of the link you put the name of the venue and the date of the concert.
9-I need you to be creative. Of course, you must tell me what you are writing about, what type of music, the instrumetns they used, what did you learn or what called your attention, but be CREATIVE, I am interested in your opinions, what do you like and your reactions. Write me an out-of-the-box paper, this is an out-of-the-box class.
9- Don’t copy from the internet. You can QUOTE, and you identify the source. But don’t just copy from the internet because I will know, the system is going to tell me even from where you copied.
10-Same with papers by other students, past or current. Don’t try to copy from them, I will know, you will be exposed and the sanctions for plagiarism will affect you academics
