Abstract

The following report outlines the activities carried out during my training at Alfarabi Colleges Company for four consecutive weeks, and it’s my second month. The first week ended on 23/07/2020, and the fourth week ended on 20/08/2020. The report indicates all the tasks I performed each week, the skills I attained, and the meetings I attended.

Introduction

The Cooperative program offers excellent skills to students through training- the training is conducted by professionals who are committed to their career. The organization offers excellent skills to learners that are in demand in the job market.

Duties and Responsibilities

Week 1

During the first week of my second month, I was assigned duties in the field of the marketing campaign. I was in charge of monitoring the current marketing campaign and make sure all ads are on schedule. I monitored all social media accounts like Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat. The task was quite challenging, but with my supervisor’s help, I completed the job. The skill learned during week one included tracking of the performance of ads. I believe the skill will help me in the future in my line of duties in various organizations. I also got the opportunity to attend a meeting about the current marketing campaign. Week one activities were quite helpful in my career journey, and I look forward to applying the learned skills in my job.

Week 2

The second week had a lot of activities that were related to my field of study. I was given various tasks to research the marketing agencies that are based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Such as Bold Agency and Ways Marketing. After making a list of the agencies, I presented to my group members. We discussed the suitable agencies on my list and eliminated others. At the end of the discussion, I learned how to choose the most appropriate marketing agencies based on our requirements. I also learned how to evaluate different marketing agencies using various criteria. During the week, I attended two meetings. One of the meetings’ critical agenda was the company’s plans- the plans are used to outline a direction through which the employees have to work towards achieving the organizational goals. The second meeting was about what is needed from the marketing agencies to help the company make proper choices by choosing the right agency and achieving the company’s goal. Like making a video for national day, and making a poster about the promotions.

Week 3

The third week was quite educational. Some of the activities I engaged in included presenting the marketing agencies chosen in the second week. The presentation covered all the benefits the company was likely to achieve from the various selected agencies. Some marketing agencies offered more benefits than others. However, the presentation had to include all the listed agencies to evaluate and choose the best from the list. At first, it was not easy to stand before the company staff as I was a little nervous. However, I gained the courage and composure that made my presentation superb. The continuous presentation will help me to gain more courage needed for public speaking. Some of the skills that I learned include communication skills. I was able to connect with the marketing agencies professionally successfully. The presentation was impressive, and I am looking forward to practicing more often and acquire more communication skills. I attended two meetings during the third week. The first meeting was about rebranding while in the second meeting, I presented the marketing agencies that I had listed.

Week 4

The fourth week was also a success and offered useful experience in my line of profession. I undertook several tasks concerning marketing agencies. I prepared reports about the different marketing agencies we had chosen listing their differences. I also included various offers provided by different agencies. I was able to learn report writing skills while preparing my reports. Also, I learned how to prepare reports with multiple offers. How to organize them and how to compare between them based on different criteria like budget and timing. The week four scheduled meeting, which I attended. It was about the evaluation and comparison of the offers provided by different marketing agencies. I was also allowed to present my report and my recommendation. I have learned a lot in the past four weeks. The company is quite helpful, the learning pace and experience are excellent. I have also experienced personal growth, and I look forward to learning more from the company.

Conclusion

The week’s activities were quite useful to my career journey. I learned a lot of skills that will help me in my future job. And I look forward to learning more.
