Post first draft of Capstone Project goals, content outline, and strategies for critique and input by colleagues.
i need to make a post saying what my project is going to be about im not sure what you think we should write about in my project. im not picky.

For my capstone project, i plan to focus on a big issue that is very common but we all try to avoid which is Falls. Falls happen everywhere but there are more risk factors during hospital stay. The way i plan to present my project are to nurses who are aware of this issue and see it all the time. I feel like it is important for this audience to take away some tips and tools of how falls can be prevented so that they can use that in their practice. In my outline i would like to list statistics and how it affects the patient negatively and increases their hospital stay which i think it can get the attention of the audience. I also will list interventions and screenings that can be done frequently as the shift goes on and if there is a change in condition. I will also share an experience i had recently which is why i chose this topic because we are told and educated about falls but you should never let your guard down and trust the patient or the nurse who gives you report. That was the mistake i made and thankfully the patient was not injured but i trusted what the nurse in report gave me and the patient and ended up having a fall. It is important that we look at these risk factors and assume all are fall risk basically. Weather its due to medication, surgery, or confusion/altered.
