As noted in our book, "A code of ethics expresses the principles that define an organization’s ideal moral essence and heightens moral awareness." The language should be "simple and avoid legalese or professional jargon." Pretend that you are the owner of a small business and would like to create a Code of Ethics for your company.

First, describe what your company is, what kinds of employees you’d like to hire as you grow, and who your customers are (and what kinds of customers you’d like to acquire).

Second, develop a Code of Ethics for your company that includes at least four categories and statements that correspond to them(for instance, you might have "Environmental Responsibility" as a category, and it needs to be followed by a short statement talking about your company’s values as they relate to the environment).
