Part 1 The general theory of crime (GTC) argues that the propensity to commit antisocial behavior is dependent on the person’s level of self-control.  Additionally, self-control is related to inadequate childrearing practices that begin early in life.  Some programs are addressing the prevention of delinquency by improving parental skills.  These programs are promising, and they include engagement in positive family activities, positive coping skills, behavioral skills, communication skills and mentoring.  In one to two paragraphs (essay format-200-word count minimum, double-spaced): 

Pick an individual you know who has been involved in criminal behavior.  Determine whether they more closely fit the description of an Adolescent Limited Offender or Life-Course Persistent offender and explain your rationale for grouping them taxonomically in this way.
