The purpose ofthis assignment is to apply your knowledge of normal human physiology to acommon clinical condition. You will choose a human disease (crohn’s disease) from the listprovided below and explain in your own words the underlying physiologicalalterations that lead to the development of this condition. Your paper shouldcontain the following information:
a) A detaileddescription of the normal physiology of the organ/tissue/system affectedby the condition of your choice from the list below (ie: pick one disorder fromthose listed below). Reports on conditions other than those listed will not begraded. For this component of the assignment, you should focus on physiologicalprocesses that you will later discuss in the context of disease development.When writing this component of the assignment be sure to address:
What are the major structures of theorgan/tissue/system?
What are the major functions of theorgan/tissue/system and why are they important?
How does the organ/tissue/system typicallyadapt or adjust to daily deviations from homeostasis?
b) An overview of the condition of your choosing (from the listbelow). You will need to define the condition and describe its characteristicsigns and symptoms. You will also need to discuss the alterations inphysiological function that occur during this condition.
c) A detailed description of the process of disease development. Thisis the most critical component of this assignment and will require you to applyyour knowledge of normal human physiology to the condition of your choosing.

Your assignment will consist of a title page, an essay on thecondition of your choosing, and a reference list.
