“New” is a relative term. All media was new media once. How has the current group of new media impacted culture? In your initial post, choose one type of “new” media and explain how it has impacted you as an individual. Think about how your life would be different without that media in your life: that’s the impact. In your response post, consider how the existing culture has affected that media.

Here is a good outline to follow:
First paragraph: select one channel of new media, and discuss how the current group of new media impacted you, as an individual. A strong paragraph should contain a topic sentence, a few sentences to offer support for that topic sentence, and final sentence to bring the paragraph to close. Second paragraph: discuss your thoughts as to how this form of media impacted culture as a whole. Develop a strong topic sentence that clearly names the impact, and then use specific examples/explanations to further examine and explain that impact.
Third paragraph: conclude your discussion by considering how culture may have, in turn, impacted the new media channel you selected. Make connections between your first and second paragraphs. Develop a strong topic sentence that clearly names the reflection, and then use examples to further examine and explain that impact.
Provide in-text citations and references for any sources used.
