As the human resources management professional, one of your jobs is to oversee employee integration as your small manufacturing company buys competitor firms, bringing them under one corporate banner. Each of the organizations that is being purchased has a strong and positive organizational culture, is profitable, and has a product line that is solid, high quality and saleable. Your company is purchasing these companies to acquire their intellectual property, technology and client base, but not as a result of any other factor. This creates a unique challenge for you in that the assimilation into one brand must be done carefully so as not to devalue a positive state while engaging employees in a shared corporate culture. 1- You will create a memo to the whole organization outlining the new corporate culture to build buy-in and excitement. A good memo will include: -An introduction about your company and corporate values. Be creative- makeup and describe 4 corporate values to share. -A profile of your head office management team (chart or description) -Instructions on how employees can engage and communicate with your team if they have concerns -Next steps on what employees will be asked to do to align their values to the parent company Tip: Go onto the internet and look up a medium-sized company name using a search engine. On their home website, they will probably have a list of corporate values, team structure, and communications strategies. Modify these for your own use, or come up with your own.
