1. Select both an entertainment company and an individual leader within the entertainment industry that you believe has played an important role in the entertainment industry. The individual leader you choose does not need to be from the same company you select to research; the individual leader may be from a different company. (For example, you might choose to research Oprah Winfrey as the individual, and ESPN as the company.)
2. Prepare a paper that explores the impact that the company and individual have had on the industry. The paper should be divided into two sections: one section focusing on the company, and the other section focusing on the entertainment leader.
3. Your paper should be approximately 24 pages and should contain approximately 1012 well-developed paragraphs. Your paper should be written in Microsoft Word or similar word processing software. You can download Microsoft Word for free on the LA Film School portal.
4. Conduct research using at least three credible sources. (Wikipedia is not considered a credible source.) Make sure to cite the sources of your research on a separate page. Your document should address the topics listed below:

- What need did this company help fill? What were the initial goals of the company, and how did these goals evolve over time?
- What major contributions or changes did this company bring to the industry? How and why did they occur?
- What are some other similar companies in the industry? What makes your company unique?
- What do you respect about this company? What do you think it could do differently or better?
- How do you think this companys view of what they create is different from the perspective of a fan or consumer of their products or services?
6. Part 2Entertainment Leader Profile
For the entertainment industry leader, address the following topics:
- Provide a brief overview of the individuals life and career: Where they are from, where they have worked, and which entertainment industry sectors they have been involved with.
- What are this persons most important contributions to the entertainment industry? Explain.
- How, when, and where did this person become involved in the industry? What is in their background that qualified them for this leadership position?
- What challenges or failures did this leader encounter, and what impact did they ultimately have on the leader?
- What qualities or events do you think made this person such a powerful force in the industry? Could anyone else have done the same thing? Why or why not?
- What innovations has this leader helped bring to the industry?
- What impact has this leader had on other leaders within the entertainment industry or outside it? What do you think other leaders in this industry may do differently because of this person? What kind of future change might this leader inspire.
- How do you think this leaders view of what they create is different from the perspective of a fan or consumer of their products or services?
