Spend some time evaluating at least TWO peers’ sources. Provide two peers with feedback on their three sources and whether you agree that they seem like reliable, well-informed, and relevant voices/perspectives to use. Be sure to support your reasoning.
This should be addressed to Abigail Evans
Anderson, L. (2018, February 12). Marijuana: Effects, Medical Uses and Legalization. Retrieved February 21, 2018, from Drugs.com Know more. Be sure.: https://www.drugs.com/illicit/marijuana.html
I chose this reference because it broke down very plain and simple the effects and uses of marijuana as a whole. It helped me understand the uses on a medical as well as a recreational side. When I chose this topic, I knew I would need sources that would help me as well as my readers to understand how it is used.
Marijuana Policy Project. (2015). Medical Marijuana Should Be Legalized. In N. Merino (Ed.), Current Controversies. Drug Legalization. Farmington Hills, MI: Greenhaven Press. (Reprinted from Medical Marijuana Briefing Paper, n.d.) Retrieved from http://link.galegroup.com.bethelu.idm.oclc.org/apps/doc/EJ3010211402/OVIC?u=tel_a_bethelc&xid=41dede1e
On such a topic like this is was important to me that I looked for a source that could help me express the true benefits that medical marijuana can have on many patients in this world who are suffering from pain and side effects from their sickness. Knowing the benefits is important because the more you know the better.
NIDA. (2018, February 12). Marijuana. Retrieved February 16, 2018, from What is marijuana?: https://www.drugabuse.gov/publications/research-re…
I selected this source because when you are trying to get your point across it is important to know what your topic really is about. There may be some people in the world who do not know what marijuana is. Therefore, within choosing this topic I look at how this source could help me better explain what marijuana is medical and natural.

2. This should be addressed to Steven Crabtree
Redonna K. Chandler, PhD, Bennett W. Fletcher, PhD, and Nora Volkow, MD (2009). Treating Drug Abuse and Addiction in the Criminal Justice System: Improving Public Health and Safety. Retrieved from: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2681083/
I chose this source because it the statistics that it presents supports my thesis on the subject of substance abuse treatment. This article highlights the ineffective process and poor results of current substance abuse treatment programs.
The article has been published by US National Library or Medicine, National Institutes for Health. The references and research that the author put forth was credible.
NADCP (2008). The Facts on Drugs and Crime in America. Retrieved from: https://www.nadcp.org/sites/default/files/nadcp/Facts%20on%20Drug%20Courts%20.pdf
This source helped me produce the cost of substance abuse treatment and highlight current treatment options. The statistics on the relapse for those inmates who have been released from prison was very useful in proving my point that substance abuse is in fact a waste of money.
I selected this article because I am familiar with their organization as they have been publish in the NADAC magazine that is a publishing for substance abuse counselors. The National Association of Drug Court Professionals also use other reliable sources in their references during the article they wrote.
American Addiction Centers (2015). Rehab Success Rates and Statistics. Retrieved from: https://americanaddictioncenters.org/rehab-guide/success-rates-and-statistics/
I chose this article because it highlighted the lack of individual treatment plans for substance abuse. This article covered outpatient programs and evidence based treatment trend. It also drives one of my points that every substance abuse center in America makes the claim their new treatment program will succeed where the other programs have fail, essentially they are conning people out of money selling them the promise of recovery and never delivering.
I found this source to be reliable because they used proven statistics that have been researched by professionals in the field of substance abuse that publish Scientific American. The statistics also check out with the other research I have done on this topic.
