Week 3.
You will receive a grade this week. However, you will be able to resubmit in Week 4 if you would like a second chance at the assignment. The higher grade between Week 3 and Week 4 will stand for your final.
Due Date: Sunday, 11:59 PM of Week 3
Purpose
You will be asked in every college class to analyze readings. These readings may be from your textbooks or from the Keiser University Library databases. Either way, critical reading requires you to go beyond just a superficial "like" or "dislike" of a reading. It also goes beyond mere summary.
Instead, critical reading focuses on what the author’s message is, how the author makes that point clear in the body, and why that message matters to you, to the class you are in, or to your career field. These skills are essential to be successful in college courses. This paper will help you develop these essential skills.
To accomplish the task of writing this paper, you will
  • reflect on the feedback you have received so far, including in the Week 3 Discussion
  • build on the outline you completed during Week 2
  • draft the essay
  • revise that essay using various revision strategies
  • edit and proofread your paper before submission
