Dementia is a mental disorder that is to affect the major functions of the brain. This disorder is said to affect processing of information and language. However, dementia can lead to cases of confusion or loss of memory. Mental mood disorders include things like anxiety and depression. Mood disorders are caused by a serious change in moods. Some of the mood associated disorders include bipolar and unrealistic optimism disorder among others. Substance related disorders are said to be mental disorders caused by the abuse of drugs and other substances.

The psychiatric classification system helps in the identification of various mental disorders that affect the human race. Confused thinking is a thinking symptom associated with individuals suffering from mental illness. Prolonged depression is the other from of emotions associated with people experiencing mental illness. Many individuals suffering from different mental illness problems are said to socially withdrawal themselves from the public. Excessive fears and anxiety is said to be another symptom associated with people with mental illness.2.1 Explain how individuals experience discrimination due to misinformation, assumptions and stereotypes about mental ill health People suffering from mental illness have been discriminated in variousways. This has been happening due to lack of enough information concerningmental illness. There are some assumptions that mental ill people should be isolated from normal individuals because they are assumed to be dangerous to live with.
