For this project, you will be given an undetermined budget. With this budget, you will be required to establish materials/listings/resources/etc. for your ideal language arts classroom. Be sure to create a print rich environment that encompasses all 4 areas of the language arts. Your deliverable should include the following:
- How is the classroom arranged to facilitate students’ learning (site resources)
- What materials are needed to facilitate students’ learning (site resources)
- List of books you would select for your classroom library. These books should include all genres of picture books, chapter books, informational books, poetry, biographies, and autobiographies. The books should be arranged by level and stage of literacy development. Also include which ones you would purchase multiple copies of to use for guided reading or literature circles.
- Using MS Word’s drawing tools, draw a diagram of your classroom highlighting at least ten exemplary characteristics of a language arts classrooms (site resources). You will find the very helpful.
- A description of a typical day in your “Ideal” language arts classroom. (LO 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11)
