Case Assignment

1. Select one of the gas laws from the Module Overview or readings (Boyles, Charles, Gay-Lussacs, Henrys, Avogadros or Daltons).
2. Discuss the historical development of the law (who is credited for having formulated the law? What led to its development? How does the law describe the characteristics of gases?)
3. Explain how gases respond when one variable in your chosen gas law changes while others remain constant (such as temperature, pressure, or volume).
4. In what way is your chosen law important to our everyday lives? (find an example and explain).
