Essay Assessment Criteria
The essay should be presented using 12 point Helvetica or Arial fonts with 1.5 line spacing.
It must be correctly referenced using the standard Harvard system, with both adequate referencing in the text and an appropriate reference list at the end.
It should cite at least five “academic” sources.
“Academic” sources are textbooks, academic journal articles (business analysis sources such as The Economist will also be counted).
It must be submitted to TurnItIn (Plagiarism Detection Service) via Blackboard by the submission deadline.
Any evidence of plagiarism will be dealt with severely.
Inadequate referencing, a poor standard of written English, and late submissions will also be penalised, as outlined in the module handbook. Note that under student regulations, if this is a referred piece of work and is thus already capped at 40%, any late submission would cause the assignment to be marked as zero.
Additionally, the essay must:
Provide evidence of suitably wide & relevant reading and research.
Present balanced and well considered arguments.
Offer a logical conclusion fitting the arguments presented.
