Overview
For your research essay this semester you will be asked to choose one contemporary health controversy of particular interest to you, to explore via a 15002000 word argumentative essay (approximately 6-8 pages). You can choose one of the health controversies we have studied (or will be studying) in 1801 this year, or you can choose a controversy from outside of the course.
The first step in preparing to write your argumentative essay is to develop a working thesis statement and annotated bibliography, which must include 5 academic sources which are relevant to your chosen topic.
Must include…
- A preliminary, working thesis statement to introduce your annotated bibliography.
- An annotated bibliography containing 5 scholarly sources:
- Only 1 source can be a course reading from SOSC 1801, although this is not mandatory.
- At least 1 source has to be a scholarly journal article.
- At least 1 source has to be a book chapter from an academic book.
- 1 source can be a government report/website, or a news article from a legitimate news outlet.
Note: you must use APA (7th Edition) Style.
