Choose one scenario and prepare a healthpromotion intervention or campaign which include the guidelines given below:

 

1.     Healthydiet and eating habits for secondary education/high-school students (age 12-17).

 

2.     Reproductivehealth and safe sexual practices for first-year university students.

 

 

3.     Smokingcessation for young workers (18-30 years old) in the construction (building) sector.

 

Your work should include and cover thefollowing sections/aspects and content (as shown and stated in the tablebelow). The specific percentage marks allocated to each section/aspect of yourwork is stated below. Please also note that the Level 7 marking criteria(located towards the end of this assessment brief) will also be used to reflectthis overall grade. Please remember that achievement and demonstration of bothlearning outcome 3 is being assessed in this assessment.

 

1.     Introduction (Identification of the problem, description and solution)

Choose one of the public health issues listed above. Provide a clear introduction of the chosen public health issue and specify why a health promotion intervention is needed.

2.     Intervention Design and Delivery

a)     Formulate a clear aim and objectives (maximum 4) that are

SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, timebound)

b)     Define the target group and explain the audience segmentation i.e., age, sex, ethnicity, or other variables.

c)     Explain and justify the methods applied. They need to be logical, realistic, and detailed in design; apply health promotion planning model as appropriate and justify your choice.

d)     Resources (funding) need to be identified accurately start-end

e)     Time frame: Clear, realistic and to include planning, evaluation & follow up

f)      Budget plan: Realistic, accurate and all resources are included.

3. Evaluation

a)     Describe and explain your plan evaluation approach.

b)     Processes, from what perspective will the plan be measured? That is who will benefit from the objectives and outputs? How will these be measured and what targets need to be met or comparisons can be made to judge success.

c)         Impact / short & medium break down the measures into these time frames and state how they will be measured and by whom etc.

d)        Outcome / long term   what is the ultimate outcome expected and how, when, where will it be evaluated

4. Conclusion

Please provide a brief explanation of the expected impact that the health promotion intervention you have designed will have on the chosen community/population group.

5. Presentation and Referencing

High quality presentation that conforms to principles of academic writing and contains minimal errors in sentence construction, grammar and punctuation. The assignment followed appropriate academic conventions regarding in-text citations and referencing.
