We have seen the film version of Fires in the Mirror in class. There are seven passages in the play that are NOT in the film. They are all within the first 10 pages of the dramatic script ( I uploaded the Fires in the Mirror play pdf file) and noted on the handout given in class ( I uploaded it also and it will be underlined in the left side of the picture ) .

Read the play that’s uploaded and watch the film parts in youtube then select one of these seven passages that’s underlined in the picture that I uploaded and they are in the left side of the picture and explore what is missed from the film because it was not included. How does the selected passage expand your understanding of the conflict of Crown Heights. Explore the language and character in relation to trying to understand the conflict, specifically race and identity issues. To adequately and concisely address, paper should be the equivalent of one typed page, single spaced. NOTE the passage you will write about is in include in the play BUT NOT in the film so what will happen if it’s included in the film.
