International Criminal Justice Research

Students will identify, and critique 3 academic references of their choosing related to their original research question/topic. Your focus should be on empirical studies that have been published in peer-reviewed journals since 2015 and beyond. You are welcome to email me the 3 choices to ensure they are appropriate for this assignment. In this paper, briefly describe why you chose these sources and how they relate to your area of interest. Next, proivde a summary of the methological appraoch of each source. Tell me whether the researchers chose a qualittive or quantitative approach and describe specifically, IV, DV, unit of analysis, research design, sample selection, sample characteristics, data analysis technique. Then, provide a critique that discusses the appropriateness of the chosen method and what you would do differently (as there is always room for improvement). This final paper should follow the format below, be submitted in APA 7, and must be 5-7 pages.

Grading Rubric for alternative paper

• Adhereance to APA formatting, style, syntax, and grammer = 10%
• Each summary + critique is worth 7% (x3) = 21%
• Introduction = 2%
• Conclusion = 2%
• Total = 35%
