Introduction:
1- The Running Tasks in this text are all based on the same case throughout the e-text. This is intentional for continuity and relevance. The goal of these assignments is to continuously build onto the knowledge you have gained and apply it throughout the semester.
Questions in this Assignment:
Create a Work Breakdown Structure for the project. Use list form. You must go down to level 3 or 4, as appropriate for the item that you are breaking down. Note: Your WBS may not be broken out by the 5 project management process groups. Rather, re-read the details of the project. What work needs to be done? Break it down into stage and break each stage down further, to level 3 or 4.
Here is example of list form structure to the 3rd or 4th level:
1. Main item name
1. Sub item
1. Sub-sub item name (this is Level 3)
1. Sub-sub item name (this is Level 4)

Questions in this Assignment:
Create a Gantt chart for the work you identified in your WBS in the other Week 3 assignment. The WBS identifies the work products that need to be produced by decomposing them down to their smallest level. A Gantt chart lists activities on the project. Activities are not a one-to-one from your WBS. The WBS would help you identify the activities needed on the project. Each activity on your Gantt chart:
-must be clearly named
-must have a duration
-must be scheduled with a start and end date
Include at least 1 milestone on your Gantt chart. Remember, milestones are markers; they do not contain duration – and they are not activities.
Refer to your book and the internet for samples of Gantt charts.
You can create the Gantt chart using Excel, Microsoft project, or another free software you may find online. In your submission, indicate what software you used to create a Gantt chart. You may find useful tutorials on YouTube also.
Instructions:
Submit your work as a Word or PDF file attachment through Canvas. Each page of your document shall include your first and last name. Label the question number clearly above each response. This is formal written assignment. It shall be double-spaced, using Times new Roman in 12pt font. Your work must be proofread, and spell checked. If the exercise requires outside references, use APA-style citation.
