A lab report consists of the following:

1. Your name

2. The title of the experiment

3. The objective of the experiment (What are we measuring? Why?)

4. The underlying physics theory being tested (e.g. formulas)

5. The experimental procedure (What did you do? What instruments did you use? Be

descriptive ‒ imagine someone else is following your instructions.)

6. Your experimental data (all the numbers you collected ‒ most likely in a table)

7. Calculations (any numbers crunched using your data)

8. Error Analysis (Where do your errors come from?)

9. Conclusions (final statement of your results, short reflection)
