I am an immigrant to Canada. A sense of justice and passion for helping others was kindle with me from an early age. I was the child that will always cater to the needs of the poor and desolate young and old. In 2015 I made a decision to attend college and my interest was heightened when I started pursuing my education in Community Justice Service diploma..After I completed my diploma I further my studies by pursuing my degree in Criminal Justice. There, as part of the curriculum, each student must choose a community-based organization to volunteer. It gave me the chance to see firsthand the delirious deficiency of social workers with children, youth and family and mental health concentration. In that capacity, I served adults and children with developmental disabilities. I did courses such as interpersonal skills, diversity and issues solution, conflict management, ethics and restorative Justice to name a few. I was a hunger for more so I pursue my degree in Criminal Justice. I am passionate about helping the vulnerable population and our youths are the ones that really pull at my heart the most. Additionally, Whenever I am on summer breaks I love to visit my family in my home country I pretend to be an intern and go to work with my sister who is a Probation Officer, while doing so,I had the opportunity to work with other community-based organizations for single adults who are homeless and diagnosed with HIV/AIDS. Those few months have reenergized my ambition to do a future study in Social Work and possibly pursue an internship at the Ministry of Community and Social Services where I will be equipped with the knowledge of responding to social crises. In my amateur position, I have had the chance to counsel wayward teens in my home church which produced overwhelmingly positive results
