Medication Sheets

Each week, starting on week 2, you will be required to turn in specific medication sheets throughout the course (see below for drugs and dates). This will help you prepare for tests and give you an understanding of how to look up drugs to prepare you for clinicals. You must use the below template to complete your work. The medication sheets will be a part of your quiz grade for the term. The medication sheets for each unit will be due at 9 am of each Thursday, beginning on the second week of the term. Failure to turn in the medication sheets by the deadline will result in a grade of “0” the assignment for that week. I have also attached a sample of a medication sheet. This is not perfect, but it gives you an idea of what I expect.

How to complete the assignment:

  1. Complete a medication sheet for each assigned drug. You may find the information utilizing your text book, drug book, or the Herzing library resource center at https://herzing.libguides.com/nursing/home(Links to an external site.) (click on pharmacology resources and then choose Mosby’s 2017 Nursing Drug Reference by Linda Skidmore-Roth  (Links to an external site.) or Saunders Nursing Drug Handbook 2019 by Robert J. Kizior; Barbara B. Hodgson; Keith Hodgson  (Links to an external site.) ).
  2. Each area of the sheet must be completed. Any area left blank will result in a zero for the assignment. You must also include a reference page cited in APA style with at least one peer reviewed reference.
  3. ALL INFORMATION ENTERED ONTO THE TEMPLATE MUST BE YOUR OWN WORK. Failure to comply with this will result in a zero.
  4. All drug sheets for each section must be completed on the below template and be emailed to [email protected]by 8 am each Wednesday to receive credit; late work or partial assignments will not be accepted.
  5. Each week you will need to scan or attach your med sheets in an email to me. I MUST receive the sheets by 8:00 am each Wednesday or you will receive a zero.
