You will choose 4 lakes to write about. You will choose:
2 of the Great Lakes (Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie, Superior)
and
2 lakes from anywhere in Michigan
You will be constructing 4 paragraphs (this is not an essay form, so no intro or conclusion necessary). It is simply 4 paragraphs or 4 lists in which you answer the following questions about EACH lake.
Name of Lake
2 Pictures of Lake (1. map view—so on a map, where is it…… 2. any view picture of the lake)
1. What cities are around or on this lake?
2. Is it an all-sports lake? What activity would I see?
3. What type of fish will one find in this lake?
4. What kind of plants or other animals (not fish) grow around or in this lake.
5. Is there commercialism/shipping done on this lake? If so, which products or what companies are usually doing the shipping?
6. Can you swim in this lake (are there any public beaches on it? How deep is the deepest point? Is it rocky, sandy, or murky?
7. Does it play host to any light houses, if so which ones? Does it have any wreckage found in it?
8. Just give me one other cool fact you found out about the lake during your searching.
