During the course of the semester, students will contribute to a course blog on new music. You can contribute your entry at any time but you should do so after you have completed your music resource review and before the final day of the semester. Students will choose one-two new songs to review by surveying new music released each week on source such as Spotify. In your review (approx. 500–1000 words) you should describe the sound for potential listeners. Situate the song within the artists’ previous work, musical history and current music trends. Finally, share your opinion with potential audiences. Be creative and have fun!
