Option #2: Construction Planning & Scheduling 
Portfolio Project Option #2 is to utilize Primavera P6 to develop a project schedule. Choose from the project plans supplied by the professor or pick one of your own. The project must be related to commercial buildings; it must also show a list of 30 different tasks and subtasks.
Step 1: Choose a topic
Select the project you would like to work on. (I have selected a project of city center office building addition)
Ensure that you have more than 30 tasks.
Begin to familiarize yourself with the program.
Develop an outline of your project.
Develop tasks sequences
Step 2: Choose a topic
Develop tasks sequences
Develop tasks durations
Develop activities (tasks) in Primavera
Create a schedule
Step 3: Discussion and Conclusion:
Create relations between activities (tasks)
Calculate the critical path
Prepare a presentation to explain what you accomplished and learned from this project.
NOTE:
Your references should include at least 5 peer-reviewed articles.
Be sure to use the CSU-Global Library.
Remember to list your references according to the CSU Global Guide to Writing and APA or Purdue’s OWL.
Your paper needs to be in a format that includes an abstract, introduction, literature, main body and conclusion.
The final report needs to be 6-8 pages, which include your abstract (double-spaced, 12 point, Times New Roman)
