SECTION A (70 MARKS)
Answer the following question:
Question 1 (70 marks)
Your project will involve applying what you have learnt about people
management to a real problem in your organisation. You should choose an
organisation you are familiar with and conduct an analysis of the issues and
challenges that have an impact on HRM in your organisation.
Your paper should include the following:
1. A description of the organisation, what the organisation does, and the
competitive landscape of the organisation.

2. What the current HRM challenges and issues are in your organisation,
how this affects HRM and how the HR team overcomes these challenges
and issues.
3. Compare and contrast the HRM challenges and issues in your
organisation with the HRM challenges faced by organisations globally.
4. Make recommendations as to how the HR team can prevent challenges
and issues experienced globally from becoming an issue/challenge in
your organisation.
Prepare a paper of no more than 12 pages in which you discuss the assignment
topic. Your paper should include the following:
1. Background study
2. Theoretical framework/consideration
3. Investigation done
4. Analysis and discussion of results
5. Conclusion and recommendations.
Note:
You need to consult at least five additional credible/academic sources to inform
this discussion. These resources must be included in your in-text and final
reference list.
Technical requirements:
• Arial 12 font, 1.5 line spacing
• Your answer may not exceed 12 pages.
