I need to have a research paper based on the Othello paper written previously.
Instructions as follows: You can turn one of the papers you have written so far into a research paper by adding at least two sources. That means you will add another page or two to your present paper. Research could be incorporated by adding it to the paragraphs you have or by adding new paragraphs.
For this assignment you are going to write a research paper based on one of the readings that we have done this semester. After re-reading your chosen text, zoom in on a theme that speaks to you. Possible themes could be tradition, patriarchy, villainy, murder, superstition, personal narrative, societal pressures, or any other topic you can come up with. Next, you will do research to find what other sources (at least two) say about that topic. Do the other authors agree or disagree with one another or with your thesis? How? Find at least three other sources from magazines, journals, or online databases; one of them can be a critical review of either or both sources. If you need help with finding those sources, please see me or a librarian. A possible search engine can be www.scholar.google.com. Once you have a topic, you need to expand on how that issue unfolds in the sources you are using. Start off with an outline that delineates the main points which will provide the support for your own thesis statement. Your thesis statement should be the last sentence in your introduction. Your paragraphs should contain your own analysis, thoughts, comments, observations as well as quotes from the original texts to support them. Your quotes should be followed by thorough elaboration and analysis. You will also need to use the MLA format for in-text citations and the Works Cited page. Your research paper has to be at least five pages in length, double-spaced, in Times New Roman, and in font size 12pts. You will be working on a number of drafts.
