The purpose of this presentation is to share your findings with your peers. The presentation should include visuals that give the audience a sense of the community. At the end of your presentation, the audience should have an understanding of the community and the areas of opportunity for the public health nurse. The presentation should be between 12 -15 slides (not including the title slide and reference page). Slides should be bulleted and speaker notes should be used to elaborate on any of the bullets. Remember that speaker notes are used as a substitute for what you would say in a face-to-face presentation. Clip art should be kept to a minimum.
Your presentation should include information from your Assessment Tool related to the following areas:
- General description of the community (Where is it? History?)
- Summary of pertinent demographic data
- Windshield Survey
- General Health Status
- Determinants of Health
- Health, Social, Economic, and Political
- Community Diagnosis
- Priority Health Issue and description
- Suggested Plan of Care focused on the role of the Public Health Nurse and Minnesota Intervention Wheel
- Conclusion focused on insights gained
