Week 2 Discussion – The Brain’s Geography
Focusing on the brain’s geography, choose an area of the brain from each of the major sections:
- Forebrain (Telencephalon and Diencephalon)
- Midbrain (Mesencephalon)
- Hindbrain (Metencephalon and Myelencephalon)
For a total of three brain areas.
Provide an overview of the following for each area:
- Name
- Location
- General function
- Behavioral changes when area is damaged
- Fun fact and picture (supported by something you find on the Internet from a reputable source – provide the citation and reference).
The entire post should be at least 100 words in length. Remember to write using complete sentences.
Replies to peers, choose a post with an area you did not discuss. Provide another fun fact for one of your peer’s areas (with a citation and reference). (50 words per peer) (will add peers post after initial post)
