Following the directions on Slide 9 and the example on Slide 10 (Thriving Tool Box Example.pdf). 

  • please be sure to include three skills, practices, or strategies that you will use to cultivate each of the 5 PERMA areas of well-being (Positive Emotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, Achievement). We encourage you to think about how to personalize these skills (e.g. if you include "using signature strengths in new ways" in "Meaning," identify what character strengths those are and how you might use them in a new way). In addition to the 3 skills, practices, or strategies for each of the PERMA areas, you are also welcome to  include specific relationships, positive experiences, goals, achievements, etc. that you would include in your Thriving Tool Box.
  • Write a 1.5 page (double-spaced) reflection describing the skills, practices, strategies, and concepts you put in each of the 5 areas of the PERMA Well-Being model.Be sure to describe why you included each skill/strategy/practice in each area,  which areas you want to work on the most going forward (P, E, R, M, or A), and how you will plan to continue to  grow in these areas.
