This is a research paper proposition. So it is not a complete research paper. to do is the research design. In writing a research design you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in how to use previous scholarly research to formulate a research question and a research design. First, you will read three assigned articles. When thinking around your literature review and research design, you start out from these three articles to come up with a more specific area of study, which may be identified in the format of a preliminary research question.
The topic I chose is Global IR. This topic is about how traditional IR research is dominated by views from the Global North or “the West”, and how this affects the research conducted in this field. This implies that “global” does not refer to global issues (such as the war on terror, trade agreements, technology development policies, etc.) but to what can be gained if global perspectives, concepts, and theories are included in the study of IR.
I have submitted an example of how the paper should look like, I am also interested in the proliferation of nuclear weapons and global IR, how would non-western IR perspective influence our understanding on this topic.
