The role of Napoleon is immense in the history of France and its evolution as a superpower. Napoleon Bonaparte was surely one of the most crucial leaders in the history of France. It has been found after research that the revolutionary government of France was engaged in the army conflicts with some of the superpowers of Europe. Austria was regarded as one of the biggest rivals of France. On the command of Napoleon, the French Army defeated the Austrian army. Both the sides had agreed to sign the Treaty of Campo Formio. This resulted in the favor of France since they had gained some land. The brilliant military ideas had worked in favor of Napoleon as he had completely devastated the Egyptian military so the British trade routes with India could be destroyed permanently. After that in the year 1799, an event took place namely Coup of 18 Brumaire.
Through this event, the group led by Napoleon had completely overthrown the French Directory. Napoleon became the first consul of the three member consulate at the beginning of the 19th century. Napoleon worked very hard so he could be able to restore the political stability in France. Thus he rose to power. One o/f the events that could be held as the main reasons for the downfall of napoleon was the Battle of Waterloo. Napoleon was abdicated once and this time he also faced the same fate. During the Battle of Waterloo, at Brussels in Belgium, French Army was completely crashed down by the British forces. At the beginning, Napoleon had been abdicated and sent to Elba. This time he had been sent to the remote island named Saint Helena. His major fault was to fight against the strong troops consisting of British and Prussians. Finally, he died on 5th May in the year 1821.
French Revolution is one of the biggest revolutionary incidents that ever happened in the world. This revolution took place in the year 1789. This is by far the most violent of the revolutions. The very first reason of this revolution was the social structure of the Western civilization. This revolution was completely aimed at the bourgeoisie section of the society. The morality of adults was almost over because of their high living standards. The supply and demand of food was completely disproportionate in the country and the grudge of the common population was on the increase. Apart from that, all the social, economic, political and cultural factors could be taken collectively as the main reasons for the French Revolution. The public was enraged at King Louis XVI and Queen Mary Antoinette. The rights of the voters had been withdrawn by the royal family. This is the reason there was no other option for the people to revolt. The people of Paris had seized the Bastille and gave freedom to captivated people out of royal tyranny. The noblemen and bourgeoisie section of people had been frightened at this situation.
