The minimum word count is 1150. I need a work cited page the work cited page can not have any errors as so the rest of the essay. I need three sources.

This an Inductive essay

ESSAY PROMPT:

Sherlock Holmes uses a combination of deductive and inductive reasoning. However, Holmes is most famous for his use of inductive reasoning.  For example, Holmes finds a type of soil in the sole of a suspect’s shoe exclusive to the scene of a crime.  Ergo, the suspect was at the scene of the crime, Holmes determines.

As you have read this semester, the thinking pattern of inductive reasoning is not always true, as it requires a “leap.”  Using any of the FREE Sherlock Holmes stories or TV/Film versions online and streaming, cite at least THREE examples of Holmes, during the course of an investigation, having to “leap to a conclusion” to compensate for a gap in his 100% certain knowledge or particular detail in a case.

You may draw examples from multiple Holmes stories if you wish.

In your CONCLUSION, as you seek to make an overall observation and wrap up the essay (WITHOUT repeating yourself!), consider whether or not investigators should (or even, must) use inductive reasoning in the course of pursuing justice.  Of course, you can also make other statements.  The point is to leave your reader more enlightened AFTER reading your paper than before.

MLA REMINDERS: Italics and Quotation Marks

Remember that stories go ONLY in quotation marks.  A novel, film, or TV series title goes in italics — and italics ONLY. (We never combine quotation marks and italics).  Individual TV episodes only go in “quotation marks.”

Provide at least THREE examples of how Sherlock Holmes uses inductive reasoning. The goal is to try to identify both the benefits and RISKS of using that reasoning method, especially the risks. INDUCTIVE reasoning is a useful tool, however, when it’s wrong it can be very wrong.
For example, if Holmes finds a suspect’s shoes covered in red clay, and he knows that red clay is present at the murder scene, then Holmes may LEAP to the conclusion that he has his suspicions.
Inductive reasoning does require a leap, but it is not 100% accurate; there can be other explanatory factors. What if the shoes were found or given to the suspect after the murder?
Illustrate the possible weaknesses in Holmes’ inductive reasoning with at least three examples from at least THREE of his stories. Be sure to watch the film versions of the stories, as well.
Do not do this in the essay:
#5.) Critical Thinking (lack of): One would think that the top reason that students score below average in this Critical Thinking and Writing Class is a lack of critical thinking. However, that is not reason number one because of fundamental mistakes.
#4.) Missing or incomplete title, and missing or vague THESIS
#3.) TOPIC SENTENCE MISSING or ineffective
#2.) Works Cited spelled incorrectly (the first word is plural and the second word is spelled with a C) or the citation page is not alphabetized and/or indented (as shown in any MLA handbook)
#1.) MLA in-text CITATION method not demonstrated or inaccurate. It would be problem solved if everyone studied the numerous  Canvas posts and announcements regarding in-text citations,  (aka “narrative” style citations).
I need this paper to be perfect need to have both styles of citations I use mainly parenthetical I don’t know the other one.
These were the instructions of my teacher if you have any questions message me I will be glad to clarify anything.

This needs to be an A+++ paper thank you!!!
