This work focuses on equal opportunity to education, focusing more specifically on higher education and undergraduate students managing stress. Undergraduate students face multiple forms of stressors which impact performance. Institutions make accommodations for physical disabilities and financial hardships, but not many make accommodations or advocate for students with mental health hardships, specifically looking at stress.
This is a qualitative study using undergraduate students from the Chicago School of professional psychology. We will be looking at females and males of first, second, third and fourth year of undergraduate study.
The study is aiming to use approximately seven or eight students for qualitative research incorporating citation and reference to justify why seven or eight students is efficient in this work.
Since will be physically interviewed via phone or zoom conference call and asked approximately 10 questions referring to impacts of stress on academic performance.
Direction emails will be sent out to students on this campus regarding the nature of the study and population needed, specifically students managing moderate or severe stress. Subjects will be asked a number of questions to get an idea of how stress impacts their economic performance, where their stress stems from, how severe the stress is, etc.
