Description

For the Discussions Summary Assessment, please create a Word document with the following four (4) headings (in bold face) and follow this four-step process:

1. Count and List

  • The total number of messages you posted in our discussion forums
  • The total number of posts you created in response to your peers’ original posts 

2. Review and Select

  • Review the forums and select your three (3) best posts, copy and paste them in this section and include the module and date they were posted
  • Review the forums and select your five best (5) responses to your peers’ posts, copy and paste these in this section and include the module and date they were posted 

3. Written Report

Using the messages that you selected in Step #2 above, write a reflection (your own thoughts and words please!) to provide:

  • Evidence to support how participating in the discussions deepened your understanding of the course material
  • How you think your posted messages helped introduce new material, ideas or personal experiences that related to the course content
  • The degree to which your opinions were affected (either affirmed or altered) by your peers

4. Complete the Self-assessment Rubric 

Reflecting on the responses you provided in the above section, use the rubric to assess your performance in our forums this semester. Place your score in your Word document and attach the rubric with your submission.
