Option A
Step 1:  Watch the following Ted Talk at the following link:  What Reality are You Creating for Yourself?
Step 2:  During the Ted Talk, Lidsky stated, “I learned that what we see is not universal truth. It is not objective reality. What we see is a unique, personal, virtual reality that is masterfully constructed by our brain.”  Compose a paragraph to respond to the extent to which you agree or disagree with Lidsky’s statement, including your rationale.
Step 3:  In his Ted Talk, Lidsky shared the following advice, “Hold yourself accountable for every moment, every thought, every detail. See beyond your fears. Recognize your assumptions. Harness your internal strength. Silence your internal critic. Correct your misconceptions about luck and about success. Accept your strengths and your weaknesses, and understand the difference.”  Compose a paragraph to respond to the extent to which you agree or disagree with Lidsky’s advice, including your rationale.
Step 4:  Meaningfully and respectfully reply to at least *one* of your classmate’s postings, integrating relevant content.

Option B
Step 1:  Watch the Ted Talk at the following link: Visual Illusions.
Step 2:  As you watch the Ted Talk, select at least three of the illusions presented and explain the ways in which each illusion affected your perception.  Integrate in your response relevant content from the assigned readings.
Step 3:  Meaningfully reply to at least *one* of your classmate’s postings, integrating content from the assigned readings.
