You may choose any city, large or small, inside or outside the United States. You should examine how the city is situated relative to global economic, social, and political forces and to racialized and gendered systems of transformation. You might look for example at changes in the citys economic base and its labor force. Alternatively, you might look at migration, global warming, cultural conflict or patterns of protest and resistance in that particular city.
