1) Explain the findings in the form of a presentation around an academic poster.
You must meet all of these outcomes to achieve a pass grade in this assignment. To see how your final grade has been determined

Task(s)
Students will create an academic poster outlining their minor research project and the conclusions they
have drawn from the data collected. Alongside the poster the students are expected to give a 10
minute presentation (as either a video or audio recording) expanding on the information in the poster.
The poster will follow a standard academic layout and contain the following information:
• Introduction (including key studies)
• Aims and hypotheses
• Methods
• Results
• Discussion
• References
The presentation accompanying the poster should expand on the information included in the poster
and clarify the information included.
4Assignment Details
After submission of the presentation, students will then receive an email containing appropriate follow
up questions based on their presentations. Once received, students will have 3 days and a maximum
word count of 250 words to respond to the questions via email. The answers to these questions will be
used as part of the grading of the assessment.
Students will be marked on the following areas for the presentation;
• Clarity of presentation
• Subject knowledge
• Explanation of their findings
• Evaluation of their work
• Ability to answer questions
The poster and presentation will contribute an equal amount to the final mark, with the two combined
representing 20% of the final module mark.
Assessment Criteria
Students will be assessed on both the poster and the presentation, and each have their own criteria.
Poster
• A1 size
• Word processed – in an appropriate font and size
• Appropriate academic layout and design
• Correctly referenced
• All areas listed above covered
Presentation
• 10 minutes (marks will be deducted if presentation is either under or over by a minute or more)
• Presentation should expand on the poster, adding further information and details.
