Action Research Study

The nature of action study research is complex and collaborative. The research creates knowledge centered on investigations carried out within a specific and frequent practical context. Therefore, the continuous improvement to organizational process increased the demand for the application and transfer of action research study. The researchers learn through action contributing to personal and professional development.  On the other hand, the research can also be applied to educational techniques or programs that are not necessarily experiencing any challenges but desire to learn more for improvement. Consequently, the general objective is to develop a practical, simple evaluation, iterative learning, and improvement that facilitate better results for teachers, learners, schools, or programs.

Part 2: Your Preliminary Area of Focus

Context

An experience in teaching preschool and a degree in early childhood education programs qualifies me for various positions such as home visits and related services. Furthermore, I am well versed and a specialist in infant and toddler intervention.

Explanation of Problem

This action research area focuses on establishing a developmentally appropriate practice to be implemented in-home visits services for preschool children. The study seeks to support excellence in early childhood education through timely decision-making based on child development practices, knowledge, and efficient learning principles.

The problem or interest that prompts the research          

The need for an established child-based learning and proper childcare in home-based care facilities motivated me to study, explore, and implement effective development. Consequently, the desire to know children better by having vast knowledge and understanding children cultivated this spirit. Action research involves comprehending what affects preschool children learning and establishing appropriate teaching methods, practices, and planning.

Population

A community of about 20 homesteads, five teachers, and children about 150 children is interconnected. They significantly participate in helping children learn and thrive by applying developmentally suitable practices for home-based facilities learning.

Purpose Statement

The study seeks to develop suitable approaches to preschool teaching and learning by applying developmentally appropriate practices in children’s home-based care facilities.

 Preliminary Research Question(s)

How can we deliver a nurturing, loving, responsive, and safe environment to preschool children in care facilities?
Which approach should we integrate to form a consistent and caring relationship among children, families, and co-workers?
How does adopting the DAP build children learning to expand and challenge the current home-based care?

What do you wonder

The research seeks to study the benefits of DAP when nurturing a preschool child’s overall progress and the practice of creating suitable teaching methods. The study will adopt continuous progressive development through discussion with existing studies, professionals, and development opportunities to better learning in preschool children’s facilities.

Locus of Control

To provide home visit services while teaching, one has to spend time familiarizing themselves with their activities, environment, and curriculum to certify what is presented is suitable for the child’s proper upbringing. Therefore, being an experienced educator in child education programs, I incorporate individual appropriateness, social and cultural appropriateness, and other development structures to offer suitable tools for appropriate decision-making cultures for preschool children. Consequently, experts need to be purposeful and intelligent to provide powerful choices for each area by setting aside effort and time to regard the children, cooperation, and instruction techniques in their learning areas. Analyze what happened, what worked, what didn’t, and if they are any surprises. Researchers have to create designs and strategies, be deliberate in planning the climate and their methodology to enable them to get ready for preschool children. In this case, one has to consider their objective and vision for their preschool children; thus, a viable dynamic will lead them to pick the best measures to address the kids and their families’ necessities.
