This report will contain the following statements:
1. Sustainability
Explain why, in 200 to 300 words, it can be argued that “sustainability is
not enough”. Make use of key facts and references, identify legitimate
sources of information.
2. The Circular Economy
What is the circular economy and circular design? Explain, and show examples of how this could be, or has been applied to architectural design.

3. Regulation and Legislation
Explain the origin of the Building Regulations in London. What part/s of
the UK Building Regulations are being revised and updated in response to
the climate crisis? Identify the specific Part/s, explain what this Part deals
with (in your own words), and explain in your own words, what the current
debate is around this topic. Up to 150 words.
4. The climate and ecological crisis.
Do you think the climate and ecological crisis will affect our profession—
how we make architecture and how we practice architecture—in the near
future? If so, then how? Present your view, backed up by facts, and sources. You may show at least two examples of projects or practices that are
beginning to engage with this change. 200 to 300 words.
5. Declarations
There is a lot of “declaring” going on at the moment. What is Architecture
Declares, and Architecture Education Declares and why this is relevant to
you as an architectural student? Answer and explain, in between 100 — 200
words, with reference to sources.
6. UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Identify 3 SDGs that relate to your current design project, and a.) list the
name and number of each goal, then explain in your own words: b.) what
each of the goals are; c.) why they matter, and d.) how you could or plan
to address or use this in your design project (you may use words and/or
diagrams/sketch to help explain this). Approximately 100 words per goal,
plus optional supporting sketch or diagram.
