Students begin final wrap-up of identifying and researching a topic for the final project / capstone, due in Week 7.This assignment will bring together the various topics we will discuss this term and provide you an opportunity to demonstrate your cumulative knowledge on the theories and application of various information management concepts.

The assignment consists of three parts. Part I: Written Report. Students will review an event, department, organization and/or organizational issue that is sufficiently complex to include multiple components of our areas of study. For example, you could debrief an individual unit on an unsuccessful event or exceptional accomplishment. The event will be the direct result of either deficient or outstanding application of information / knowledge management that we have studied this term. The event must be sufficiently complex to allow you to review and reach a conclusion on how the event was handled and identify the influential factors.

At a minimum your paper should address the following areas:

a. Summary of event.

b. Identified Issues

In this section of the paper you will highlight specific knowledge management theories that were discussed in the reading chapters. Was the application of the theories positive or negative?

c. Impact

How did the identified issues impact the organization, unit etc.

d. What were identified contributing factors

e. If there was any corrective action taken or should be taken, how can this incident be avoid in the future?

f. Discuss the significance of religion/faith in this event.

Your paper must be in APA format, 6-8 pages in length. A minimum of three sources are required.

Part II:

Prepare a PowerPoint presentation summarizing your report. Your presentation should be approximately 10 slides, no more than 10 minutes in length.

Part III:

Add narration to your PowerPoint slide, which will represent your oral presentation to the class summarizing your research and conclusions.
