As stated in our course syllabus, you are required to write and submit brief journal entries several times during the. For each entry:
• you will answer each question or group of related questions in depth
• you may include more information of your choice
• I will read and respond to each entry. I will treat your journal entries confidentially (unless I believe you are or another individual is in danger)
Journal Entry Topics
Journal #1: Develop a list of all of the courses you have taken—both at SNHU and your other colleges or universities—that were NOT a part of your major. From this list select three courses that were memorable for you. For this journal entry, reflect on why these three courses were memorable. Some reasons might be the subject or topics covered in the course; the teaching style of the professor who taught the course; the relevance of the course to your major or life outside of school; the course sparked a new interest; etc.
Journal #2: Review your reflection in Journal # 1. For this journal entry discuss three similarities shared among your memorable courses. These similarities might relate to the content of the courses; the effect the courses had on how you think; etc. What might these similarities suggest in describing you as a learner?
Journal #3: Your journal entries so far have reflected on memorable course work and the similarities among the courses. How do you envision continuing having experiences like these after graduation? List and discuss three strategies for continuing experiences like these after graduation.
Grading Information
Review the rubric on the following page to guide your journal entry work. Your grade for each journal entry will be based on the completeness and depth of thought in addressing the assigned topic. There is a grading rubric on the following page for details on these expectations.
Pay close attention to the use of proper spelling and grammar; if I can’t read or understand what you’ve written I cannot comment on it! Journal entries are expected to be approximately 2 pages long, double-spaced, typed using a 12-point standard font (e.g., Times New Roman, Arial), with 1-inch margins on all four sides of the paper. Never turn in your only copy of your paper; always keep a backup copy. These journal entries might prove to be effective artifacts for demonstrating the competencies outlined in the SNHU 404 area of your SNHUfolio.
Journal entries will be considered late if submitted after the class during which they are due. I will accept late journals, with reduced credit by 10% for each day it is late.

errors are noted and/or highlighted in your paper; repeated errors are not all noted
5 points possible for each of the following (0 = needs much improvement; 5 = excellent):
