Upon taking over the leadership of the syndicate, Capone managed to attain great fetes as a gangster. He further expanded the bootlegging activities in the syndicate, which made the syndicate harness a lot of income. This meant that his income had risen. Capone and his syndicate were able to team up with the police and other social leaders in Chicago, and this meant that they would keep engaging in all ill activity they would, without being questioned by the law. Capone, being the wealthy man he had become, evaded all taxes he was supposed to pay.

Capone was keen to cooperate with the law in the accomplishment of his criminal activity. He would bribe officers. Every moment he was called to court, he ensured that there were no witnesses against him (Corsino, 224-227). He messed up with all evidence that was held up against his case. However, he was later arrested and charged with tax evasion and other crimes that took him to prison. Capone later died of a stroke in 1947.
To some people, Capone was a legend. He would organize crime while involving security agencies in the crime. Furthermore, he was able to evade taxes without being caught. Capone was living his life to the fullest, w
