Final Research Paper Instructions and Expectations:
For your final paper, you will write a research review and proposal for a mock study in 5-8 pages. Your paper should include headings to address the elements of a research paper including: a Title page, Abstract, your corrected** Literature Review, a proposed Methods section for conducting a mock-experiment including identifying at least one statistical analysis to be used in your experiment. Finally, you will write a Summary section to discuss future research on the topic based on your review of the literature and your proposed experimental design. Your topic is whatever you choose that is related to the field of psychology.
**Your final paper should include your literature review (or the written narrative review based on your annotated bibliography) and resource page from your previous assignment. Please include any feedback into your final paper to receive maximum credit for your final assignment. You are responsible for writing the Methods section with at least one proposed statistic for analysis and a Summary section. Please also include your hypothesis at the end of your literature review if you did not include one in your literature review or annotated bibliography.
Your summary section should address future research on your topic based on your findings.
You are expected to properly cite between 8 and 10 evidenced-based, primary sources from peer-reviewed journals and publications. You will write you paper and resources using APA-style and formatting. Please reference the APA Style Guide (Links to an external site.) for guidance on how to properly write citations for expected in-text citations and your reference list. If you are unsure if something is appropriate, please reach out to me and ask!
Please do not submit a paper that is longer than 8 (double-spaced) written pages. Your 8 page limit does not include your cover page, abstract, references, and any appendices – if needed.
